Description

Distillery 291, located in Colorado Springs, Colorado, is an award-winning, small-batch craft whiskey distillery founded by Michael Myers in 2011. This particular expression is a Single Barrel Colorado Bourbon, distilled in a copper pot still and aged for approximately one year in heavily charred new American oak barrels. It is then finished with toasted Colorado Aspen staves, a signature technique of Distillery 291, aiming to create a unique "Colorado flavor." This specific bottle is from Barrel No. 265, and is bottle 50 of 62. The distillery has received numerous accolades, including multiple Double-Golds at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition and Liquid Golds from Jim Murray's Whisky Bible.
