- Nose
- A fascinating potpourri of ripe maritime notes, accompanied by the engaging sweetness of a Bourbon High Heavily Charred cask. Gentle citrus notes, strong malt aroma, and complex honey sweetness interweave harmoniously with an outstanding smoky character. Bonfire on a beach, mulching leaves, dark malt, chocolate, charred logs, smoked lemons, old leather, and mint are also present.
- Palate
- Deep smoke with toffee sweetness, liquorice, and black peppercorns. Iodine and salt appear, followed by brighter fruits like citrus and peach. Light hints of toffee, milk chocolate, and leather. Dry with biting, peppery peat, dry barley, pineapple skin, apple seeds, some oak, and slightly salty smoke.
- Finish
- Good length with a warming heat, a sweet and spicy combo, and mild Lapsang tea. Warm smoke with some maritime notes. Ash, soot, fireplace with wood smoke, earthy peat, and heather. Engaging and clear, with lingering smoky nuances and sweet accents, rounded off by a touch of salty sea air.
