Description
This 15-year-old Aberfeldy is a Highland single malt Scotch whisky, part of the original Flora & Fauna series from United Distillers, which was produced between 1991 and 1998. This expression, known for its distinctive peaty nose, was among the very first releases of the Flora & Fauna series in the early 1990s, identifiable by its white capsule. The series, comprising 26 bottles, gained fame through whisky writer Michael Jackson. The Aberfeldy distillery, established in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons, is located in Highland Perthshire and uses fresh spring water from the Pitilie Burn. The production of this particular release was discontinued in the late 1990s following the change in distillery ownership from Diageo to Bacardi Limited, enhancing its rarity.
