Description

Located in the Highland Perthshire town of the same name, Aberfeldy distillery was built in 1896 by John Dewar & Sons to provide whisky for their various blended Scotch brands. It is still run by the same company, which today operates as the Scotch whisky division of Bacardi Limited.

Sherry, raisins, light peach notes, dark fruity, slightly tart.
Palate
Dark chocolate, kirsch, maraschino cherries, slightly sour-bitter, impressions of cedar wood, some sweetness and hints of dried plums, with notes of espresso, peppers, chillies, maraschino and Iberian ham.
Finish
Balanced between red fruit, dark chocolate, cocoa, hints of stracciatella and cherry sauce, with ginger sharpness, nut chocolate, bitter oranges, bitter beer, sour cherries, and a dry, green pepper aftertaste.
