Akashi Pure Malt Whisky Sherry Cask Toji's Select is produced by Eigashima Distillery, one of Japan's oldest family-run distilleries with over 100 years of whisky-making experience. Established in 1679, Eigashima was the first distillery in Japan to obtain a whisky brewing license in 1919. This whisky is crafted under the guidance of the 'Toji,' the master brewers at Eigashima, reflecting their craftsmanship and spirit. It is distilled from 100% malted barley and matured in sherry casks, bottled at 46% ABV for optimal balance of aroma and flavor. The distillery is located in Akashi City, Hyogo Prefecture, near Kobe and the Seto Inland Sea, known for its clean air and water.
