Description
Akashi Sherry Cask Finish Blended Whisky is a Japanese whisky from the Eigashima Shuzo Co., also known as White Oak Distillery, located in Hyogo Prefecture. This blended whisky is made from 30% malt and 70% grain whiskies. It matures for at least three years in American oak casks, including ex-bourbon barrels, and is then finished for 6 months in Andalusian ex-sherry casks, specifically Pedro Ximenez and Oloroso casks. Eigashima Shuzo, a historic Japanese spirits company established in 1888, obtained its first license to distil whisky in 1919.
