Description
Akashi whisky is unique as it is made by a Toji (grand-master in sake making), implementing sake-making methodologies into the whisky-making process. The Akashi Toji Blended Whisky is produced in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, by the Eigashima Distillery (White Oak Distillery). It is a blend of malt and grain whiskies, initially matured for three years in Japanese shochu casks, followed by two more years in Spanish sherry and bourbon casks. This results in a light yet full-bodied whisky with a complex flavor profile.
