Akkeshi Kokuu 2024 Release is a Japanese Blended Whisky from the Akkeshi Distillery in Hokkaido, Japan. This 15th release in the '24 Seki Series' (also known as the '24 Solar Terms Series') is named after Kokuu, the 6th of Japan's 24 solar seasons, symbolizing the spring rain that nourishes crops. Crafted with more than 50% Hokkaido-grown malt, this peated whisky is matured primarily in ex-bourbon and Virgin American Oak barrels, with additional aging in Mizunara and sherry casks. It offers a refined balance of sweetness, fruity nuances, and delicate spiciness.
