Description

A Japanese single malt whisky from the Akkeshi distillery on the island of Hokkaido, known for its climate similar to the Scottish Outer Hebrides. This is the fifth release in Akkeshi's 24 Sekki Series, representing the 19th solar term, Ritto, which signifies the beginning of winter. It is matured in a combination of Mizunara, sherry, bourbon, and red wine casks.

Fruity, spicy, and floral with flavors of dried apricots, peach jam, raisins, cinnamon, and nutmeg, olive oil, chocolate-orange, cacao, brown sugar, fresh fruit acidity.
Finish
Long, warming, and sweet finish with a delicate smokiness and a touch of oak, graham cracker, chocolate, burnt s'more, hint of peat.
