Description

Alfred Giraud Heritage is an intense and complex, yet elegant French triple malt whisky, showcasing complex and balanced flavors resulting from masterful blending and aging. It is crafted from three non-peated French malt distillates matured in a combination of extra old Cognac casks, new French Limousin oak, and new American oak casks. The blend undergoes a final maturation exclusively in extra old Cognac casks. This triple wood, triple malt expression is non-chill-filtered with natural color and bottled at 45.9% ABV. Production is limited, dependent on the availability of high-quality Cognac casks.

Nose
Complex yet balanced, with aromas of buttery pastries and brioche developing into toasted malts and sweet baking spices. Delicate floral notes, vanilla orchid, fresh oak, white grape, straw, heather, and a faint trace of sugar maple.
Palate
Structured with a full body, transitioning from brioche to grassy notes, with a slight woodiness balanced by vanilla and nutmeg. Creamy mouthfeel with poached pears, peaches, grapes, buttered brioche, cinnamon, sandalwood, and a hint of chocolate and peppery spice.
Finish
Sophisticated and subtle, with soft spices and nutty malts balancing beautifully, leading to slightly sweet notes from the extra old Cognac casks. Moderately long, wet with vanilla, nutmeg, and a bit of pepper.
