Description

From Nagahama, one of Japan's newest and smallest distilleries, this 'AMAHAGAN' from the blended malt series was created focusing on the 'blend' which is the most important process for whisky making. This is the fourth product in collaboration with the popular manga 'Madoromi Barmaid' (Sleepy Barmaid), inspired by the character Shannon Hu. It is a blended whisky that combines sherry cask whisky with two different grain whiskies to create a strong woody flavor reminiscent of bourbon with a gorgeous aroma, blended to complement the classic cocktail 'Old Fashioned'.

Nose
Deep amber in colour. The top notes are gentle wood and spicy aromas of cloves and nutmeg. With time, the sweet aromas of caramel sauce and fruity notes reminiscent of ripe oranges become more pronounced.
Palate
On the palate, fresh white peach compote and tropical fruits on the attack, with woodiness and spice from the oak in the middle.
Finish
The aftertaste is dry and full-bodied.
