Description
Amrut Kadhambam, meaning 'mixture' or 'combination' in Tamil, is a novel Indian Single Malt Whisky known for its complex maturation process. The spirit is a vatting of both normal and peated Amrut single malts. It is initially matured in ex-Oloroso sherry casks before being successively transferred into ex-brandy casks and then ex-rum casks. Finally, these are married together in refill bourbon casks to achieve a balanced and rich flavor profile. Both the rum and brandy are produced by Amrut, allowing for an in-house mixture of styles. This unique process results in a thrilling whisky that unravels subtle and complex notes.
