Nose
Sticky sweetness from the STR cask intertwined with mellow smoke. Hints of molasses, honey-glazed ham and the tiniest whisper of gunpowder. Gentle notes of tobacco, some charcoal and port-stewed apples too.
Palate
Rather syrupy in nature. A good amount of caramel, brown sugar and tobacco. The peat smoke is light and pleasant. A supporting player, certainly not the lead. More honey followed by cinnamon and dark vanilla notes.
Finish
Medium to long. Hints of mint and dark chocolate. So, After Eight? Also very sweet and hints of charcoal.
