Description

Joining Annandale's Founders Selection, this single cask single malt is part of the peated Man O'Swords series. Distilled in 2016, it was matured in an oloroso sherry seasoned hogshead before being re-racked into a refill hogshead. Bottled in 2022 at 59.5%, this sweet and smoky whisky is a real winter warmer.

Nose
Rich and fruity, with spiced mince pies, and some toasty oak. Initial hints of steeped rich dried fruits including raisins and dates followed by notes of treacle, butter and toffee. Subtle whisps of tobacco peak through towards the end.
Palate
Soft smoke is joined by vanilla fudge and warm cinnamon. An initial blast of sweet tobacco, fresh herbal notes and spices leads onto sweet buttery notes.
Finish
Smoke lingers, with caramel covered nuts. A medicinally sweet aftertaste.
