Description

An independently-owned distillery in the Lowland region of Scotland. Although the site has a centuries-long distilling heritage dating back to 1830, the modern distillery only opened in 2014 and produces both peated and non-peated single malts. This 'Man o' Sword' expression is a peated single malt from their Founders' Selection, distilled in 2017.

Nose
Complex with intensely fruity notes, spicy hints of cinnamon and nutmeg. Creamy vanilla, butterscotch, and sweet caramel with Demerara sugar. Subtle peat reminiscent of tobacco smoke and smoky bacon, followed by hints of coconut and sweet almond cherry bakewell.
Palate
Hot melted butter binds everything together. A hint of fresh pear and summer strawberries. Fresh cream with Breaburn apples, plums, and fresh honey-like melon. Delicious fruits such as pear, strawberry, and coconut with delicate notes of spice and pepper. Notes of raisin, vanilla, and orange.
Finish
Sweet, mellow, and smooth with lingering fruit and spice.
