Description

A distillery located on the south coast of the Isle of Islay. It is currently part of the Scotch whisky holdings of LVMH. Despite being closed twice in the latter 20th century, the distillery's heavily-peated single malt has always been highly-regarded.

Palate
Herbal and complex with fiery peat smoke, citrus zest, bitter lime juice, caramel, toasted teacakes, cocoa powder, curry spice, cardamom, toffee apples, rich fruit, smoke, peat, pepper, spice, lemon drops, smokier and woodier.
Finish
Very long with hints of burnt sugar, black pepper and mixed spices.
