Established in October 2010 by Martin Armstrong, Whiskybroker.co.uk aims to source and sell casks of whisky to enthusiasts and clubs wishing to purchase larger quantities of whisky at cheaper prices per bottle. Nose
Vanilla, complex fruit, peat, wolf berries, graham, yellow cake, leather, citrus, spearmint, honey, malty sweetness, metallic and oil notes. Also light peat, zesty lemon juice, fresh linen, vanilla cream, malty cereal barley, leathery and oak wood tannins, metallic copper and iron filings.
Palate
Vanilla, muddled fruit, spice, peat, yellow cake, old wood. Also vanilla cream, vanilla slice pastries, soft fudge, freshly milled malted cereal barley, biscuits (lemon puff and custard creams), mineralic peat influence, mossy and earthen notes, tarry and dirty peat soot and grime.
Finish
Long, fruity and peaty with hints of smoked meat, spice and wood. Also long, mineralic and earthen peat smoke, slightly metallic tang, sweet creamy vanilla/crème anglaise.
