Description

Ardbeg Alligator - For Discussion is an exclusive Committee Reserve bottling released in June 2011. It is named after the aggressive 'Alligator' charring of new American oak casks, which creates a scale-like pattern on the wood. The whisky was matured in a combination of these heavily charred virgin American oak casks and regular ex-bourbon casks, resulting in a complex and peated Islay single malt.
