Description

The Ardbeg Alligator Untamed Release is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky, bottled in 2011 at 51.2% ABV. It is named after the 'alligator char' applied to some of the casks used for maturation, where aggressive heat causes the wood to crack and resemble alligator skin. This limited release was a general offering following the acclaimed Committee Release. It is non-chill filtered and matured in heavily charred virgin American oak casks.
