Description
Ardbeg An Oa is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Islay region, named after the Mull of Oa peninsula. It was introduced in 2017 as a permanent addition to Ardbeg's core range. This non-age statement expression is a vatting of whiskies matured in a variety of casks, including Pedro Ximénez sherry, virgin charred oak, and ex-bourbon barrels, which are then married together in Ardbeg's bespoke French oak 'Gathering Vat.' It is bottled at 46.6% ABV and is non-chill filtered, offering a rounded and smoky profile with a balance of sweet and spicy notes.
