Description
Ardbeg Day Feis Ile 2012 is a limited edition Islay single malt Scotch whisky released to celebrate the first official Ardbeg Day on June 2nd, 2012, during the annual Islay Festival of Malt and Music. It is a marriage of two different styles of Ardbeg, an assembly of two vintages matured in bourbon casks and then re-racked or finished for six months in refill sherry casks, rumored to be ex-Uigeadail casks. Bottled at a cask strength of 56.7% ABV, it was available in limited quantities (around 12,000 bottles) at the distillery and through Ardbeg Embassies worldwide. It is known for its bold, smoky, and intensely peated character with deep maritime influence.
