Ardbeg Ardcore is a limited edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky released for Ardbeg Day 2022. It is an experimental expression crafted using heavily-roasted black malt barley, which imparts a distinctive dark, charred, and almost espresso-like character to Ardbeg's signature peaty profile. The whisky is non-age-statement and bottled at 46% ABV, having been matured primarily in first-fill and refill ex-bourbon casks. Its punk-rock theme reflects its rebellious and unconventional nature, aiming to deliver an intense flavor experience described as 'biting on a spiky ball'.
