Description

This independently-bottled Ardbeg is part of the 'Darkness' range, known for intensely sherried finishes. Matured for twelve years, including a finishing spell in Oloroso sherry casks, it balances Ardbeg's classic peaty Islay notes with sherried sweetness. This limited edition release was finished in small batches of hand-coopered Oloroso sherry octaves, which impart rich, deep color and pronounced sherry characteristics due to their high surface area to volume ratio.
