Description
The Ardbeg Fermutation is a 13-year-old single malt Scotch whisky, originating from an unplanned event in 2007 when the distillery's boiler broke down, leading to a three-week fermentation period, the longest in Ardbeg's history. Matured in a mix of first-fill and refill ex-bourbon casks, this Committee Release was described as a vibrant, zingy, and fruit-forward spirit, while maintaining Ardbeg's signature tarry, sooty smoke. It was released in February 2022 and was exclusively available to Ardbeg Committee members.
