Description

To commemorate the beginning of construction at the Ardnahoe distillery on Islay, Hunter Laing released this range of six single cask whiskies. This Ardbeg 26 Year Old was distilled in 1992 and aged in a refill hogshead for over a quarter of a century. It was independently bottled by Hunter Laing for the 2019 release of its Kinship Collection, coinciding with Feis Ile 2019. Only 387 bottles were released.

Beautiful notes of sea breezes, drying freshly cut peat, and sun-bleached seaweed. Salty sea breeze aromas fill the nose, alongside earthy peat and crispy seaweed.
Palate
Stunning notes of oak smoked toffee and marzipan introduce themselves onto the senses. Rich toffee, marzipan, burning heather, sea salt, black pepper and lemon.
Finish
Elegant and succulent without a hint of harshness. Lingering aftertaste of fudge and cream.
