Description
Ardbeg Uigeadail, pronounced [oog-a-dal], is a heavily peated single malt Scotch whisky from the Isle of Islay. Its name comes from the loch that serves as the distillery's water source. This expression, first introduced in 2003, is a marriage of whiskies matured in ex-bourbon American oak and spicy Oloroso sherry casks, combining younger and older components. It is bottled at a traditional strength of 54.2% ABV and is non-chill filtered, offering a complex profile of intense smoke, sweet sherry notes, and maritime characteristics.
