Ardbeg Wee Beastie 5 Years Old is the latest permanent expression to join the distillery's Ultimate Range, launched in April 2020. This youthful single malt, aged for five years in a combination of ex-bourbon and Oloroso sherry casks, is known for its feisty and intensely smoky character. It is bottled without chill-filtration at 47.4% ABV and is considered the rawest and smokiest Ardbeg ever made, offering a formidable taste experience.

Nose
Intense aromas of cracked black pepper, sappy pine resin, and a sharp tang of smoke, with fresh herbal notes, vanilla, pear, and honey-glazed ham. Hints of brown sugar, lemon sherbet, and black pepper.
Palate
A rich, explosive mouthfeel with chocolate, creosote, tar, and a powerful blast of eucalyptus and antiseptic lozenges. Smoked bacon, savoury meats, citrus oils, orchard fruits, and dark berry tartness with damp peat and dry wood smoke.
Finish
Long, salty, and mouthcoating, with hints of cocoa, fudge, and lingering peat smoke and spices. Notes of lemon sherbet, freshly cut peat, and a metallic note giving away its young age.
