Description

Established in October 2010 by Martin Armstrong, Whiskybroker.co.uk aims to source and sell casks of whisky to enthusiasts and clubs wishing to purchase larger quantities of whisky at cheaper prices per bottle. It also bottles and sells various whiskies at cask strength, un-chillfiltered and without added colour. This Ardmore was distilled in 2009 and initially matured in a Refill Sherry Butt before being re-casked into Oloroso Octave casks in 2018. This particular bottle is from Cask Number 2642B.

Nose
More smoke, more fruit, some tobacco and a lot of nuts. Mostly roasted nuts, popcorn, butterscotch, chocolate, tobacco leaves and plums.
Palate
Immediately peppery and sweet, but also quite herbal. Green herbs, nuts, coffee grounds, blueberries, plums, peach and chocolate.
Finish
Medium long, very sweet with a bit of smoke on nuts and café frappé.
