Description

Ardnamurchan AD/07.21:05 is the fifth release from the Ardnamurchan distillery, known for its commitment to green manufacturing. This Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky is a blend of 50% peated and 50% unpeated spirit, matured in a combination of 65% ex-bourbon and 35% ex-sherry casks. It is bottled at 46.8% ABV, non-chill filtered, and retains its natural color. The distillery uses blockchain technology for full transparency of its production process, accessible via a QR code on the bottle. This release had an outturn of 19,998 bottles.

Aromas of summer berry pie with bruised apples, lemon meringue, and salted caramel, alongside citrusy and tropical notes with a touch of vegetable and smoky peat. Hints of honey, vanilla, and mineral touches, with intense cereal impressions. [3, 6, 8, 15, 18]
Palate
Creamy texture with pecan and vanilla ice cream, salt water taffy, and beach bonfire smoke. Spicy notes of white pepper and ginger, an oily body with pineapple, blond orange, apple, currant, and almonds. A subtle hint of smoke and a mineral streak. [3, 6, 8, 15, 18]
Finish
Mid-long and sweet, with caramel, cinnamon, honey, and raspberries. Salinity and citrus notes, with a lingering earthen vanilla and buttery toasted oak. [8, 10, 15, 18]
