Nose
Dusty sweetness. Chocolate-covered raisins on a super hot day in an old carpentry shop. The Oloroso spice also comes through. Intense tobacco and herbal notes. And behind that, sawdust again.
Palate
Deep fruity and spicy sweetness, well countered by some pepper and acidity. Then very quickly powerful bitter notes appear. The maturation in the Octave doesn't lie. This is a plank.
Finish
Relatively many bitter notes, again the pastry, light marmalade. But then it's over relatively quickly.
