Description

Located upon the breathtaking Loch Sunart, Ardnamurchan distillery is a comparatively new powerhouse which opened for production in 2014. Champions for green manufacturing, the distillery and all of its by-products are environmentally friendly and entirely sustainable. This Ardnamurchan AD/08:17 CK.592 is a single cask release, distilled in 2017 and matured in a peated, first-fill American oak ex-bourbon barrel before being finished in a rum cask. It was bottled in 2023 exclusively for the Ardnamurchan Distillery Visitor Centre, with an outturn of 254 bottles. The opaque slate blue bottle pays homage to the volcanic rock of the Ardnamurchan peninsula. [cite: Scotch Whisky Auctions, 2, 14]
