Description

The core range AD/ single malt was introduced in 2022, forgoing the batch numbers that had previously been present on the labels. This version was produced briefly, with a new bottle design replacing it in 2023. It is one of the most westerly distilleries on the Scottish mainland, located on the Ardnamurchan peninsula in Lochaber in the Scottish Highlands. This expression is made with a 50:50 split of peated and unpeated spirit, matured in a combination of ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks. It is non-chill filtered and retains its natural color.

Nose
Fresh and peaty with lemon zest, cut apples, and barley sugars. Hints of sea salt, pine, and a creamy undertone with subtle dark chocolate and cinnamon.
Palate
Silky and creamy mouthfeel, with crisp green apple, pear, and orchard fruits. Notes of vanilla, roasted barley, and a gentle, earthy peat smoke, balanced by saline, white pepper, and burnt caramel.
Finish
Medium length with lingering peat smoke, drying oak, and citrus notes of lemon and candied orange. A touch of pepper heat and buttery toasted oak.
