Description

Located upon the breathtaking Loch Sunart, Ardnamurchan distillery is a comparatively new powerhouse which opened for production in 2014. Champions for green manufacturing, the distillery and all of its by-products are environmentally friendly and entirely sustainable. Ardnamurchan uses malt from Broomhill Farm and boasts two whisky styles; one peated and one unpeated, using American and European. This peated single malt from Ardnamurchan was originally bottled and released exclusively for Royal Mile Whiskies. The whisky spent five years maturing in a fresh American oak barrel, yielding a total of 254 bottles.

Palate
Bright and but oily in texture. Salted biscuits, earthy citrus.
Finish
An elegant peat smoke that give way to a grubby spirit, full of oily maritime notes and then a subtle sweetness.
