'Funk on Tiptoes' Distilled at the Ardnamurchan distillery on the 24th of March 2016, then matured for 9 years in a 1st fill ex-Bourbon barrel before being bottled by the Scotch Malt Whisky Society. The cask yielded 222 bottles at 63.2% ABV.

Nose
The neat nose suggested swimming pools, mineral oils, lemon barley water, waxes, putty, white stone fruits and earthy dunnage warehouse must. With water we found fruit salad notes emerging with richly malty and cereal tones underneath. It also delivered some coastal fresh air, along with sharp gooseberry and green apple notes.
Palate
The palate opened with a rich, oily texture and big flavours of sweet cereals, buttered oatcakes, muddled green herbs, starched linens and mineral oils, plus some funky farmhouse cider vibes. Water revealed even more fruit character, with passionflower, jasmine tea and lychee, then camphor, sandalwood, hessian and olive oil.
Finish
The finish is long and clean bringing sweet oak, citrus peel and gentle peppery heat.
