Description

Located upon the breathtaking Loch Sunart, Ardnamurchan distillery is a comparatively new powerhouse which opened for production in 2014. Champions for green manufacturing, the distillery and all of its by-products are environmentally friendly and entirely sustainable. Ardnamurchan uses malt from Broomhill Farm, and boasts two whisky styles; one peated and one unpeated, using American and European casks. This Ardnamurchan Spirit 2016/AD is the first release in Ardnamurchan's Limited Release series. It was bottled in 2016 by Adelphi, the parent company of the new Ardnamurchan Distillery. It was matured in 29 ex-Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks for about a year, and is a combination of peated and unpeated spirit. It was too young to be called whisky at the time of bottling, being 18 months old.
