Nose
Rich and elegant with touches of nuts (hazelnut) and toasted bread. Vanilla and malty sweetness accompanied by some nice fruity notes, a touch of spice, citrus and marzipan. Sweet and fruity initially, with plenty of citrus fruit, apple and pear plus a little ripe banana and some florality, hints of alcohol spirit and spice, biscuity malted barley, vanilla pastries and biscuits, custard creams, nutty hazelnut and almond.
Palate
A fruity attack that gradually reveals its complexity, with notes of dried fruits and cereals, highlighted by spices. Honey and malty fruit come first followed by notes of spice, vanilla and a light citrus. Light-medium bodied, mouth-coating and a little oily, pleasant softened orchard fruits and cereals, some light white pepper and ginger spice, orange and grapefruit zest, oak wood, becomes sharper and more bitter.
Finish
Quite long finish of ash, hazelnuts, cereals, with salt and pepper on the lips. Medium fade of honey, fruit, malt and vanilla. Long, sweet honey, iced pastries, oak wood and a sprinkle of sea salt.
