Description

The Arran 18 Year Old Single Malt is a refined Island Scotch from the Isle of Arran, distilled at Lochranza Distillery using unpeated malted barley and natural spring water. It matures for a full 18 years in a combination of ex-sherry and ex-bourbon oak casks, imparting richness and elegance. Non-chill filtered and bottled at natural color, this expression showcases the purity and integrity of long-aged Scotch whisky from one of Scotland's most scenic islands. It is a wonderfully balanced expression displaying tremendous depth of character, with rich, sweet, and intense flavors.

Nose
Deep and inviting, with aromas of dried fruits, citrus peel, honey, vanilla, and warm oak spice. Orchard fruits with syrup and toasted oak.
Palate
Rich and full-bodied, offering flavors of raisins, figs, orchard fruits, malted barley, and chocolate, balanced with sherry-soaked sweetness and gentle spice. Creamy toffee, fig, dark chocolate, roasted almonds, and a touch of oak spice. Caramelised orange, dark chocolate with a touch of brown sugar, vanilla and baked peaches.
Finish
Long and elegant, with lingering sherry richness, dried fruits, and polished oak. Lingering and intense. Classic Arran notes are intensified with the influence of the oak, mingling to produce a memorable and characterful dram.
