Toffee apples and malt upfront, sweet apple with an underlying maltiness, freshly baked pain au raisin, mocha, crisp orchard fruit, nutty barley, cooked apples, ripe apple & pear cider, raisins, prunes, apricot preserves, orange peel, orange & cherry hard candies.
Palate
Apple strudel with rich nutty overtones followed by spice, cocoa powder and star anise, richly chocolatey, cooked apple developing alongside soft hints of baking spices and well-aged sherry, apple caramels, hint of peppery spice, raisins, orange & cherry life savers, hint of orange cream.
Finish
Dark chocolate and sherry coated raisins, drying cocoa and cinnamon linger, medium to long finish, honey and hints of green herbs, dry in the end, a little oaky and peppery, buttery & warming, light bitter orange pith, raisins & vanilla cream.
