Description

From the Icons series of Arran distillery, number three is this Westies Limited Edition bottling. Drawn from 22 ex-sherry Hogsheads distilled in 1998 and specially selected by James MacTaggart under the careful supervision of Ruaraidh is pet west highland terrier. Bottled in 2011 with only 6,000 bottles produced.

Big on lemony, citrusy notes with zest and intensely sweet freshness, hints of apricots, subtle sherried character, toasted oak, treacle toffee, orange zest, lemon and honey, soft wood spice, and a light tartness.
Palate
Big, bold, and very fruity with Arran's signature zesty maltiness and pepper, malty with lightly smoked vegetal notes, buttery fudge, toasted oak, orange zest, vanilla, cocoa powder, cardamom, lemon, honey, and apricots.
Finish
Sweet and fruity, coffee notes, nutmeg, malty, smooth with plenty of spice, medium long, drier, with leather and traces of mocha.
