Situated in the Firth of Clyde, the island of Arran was once a hotbed of illicit distillation and smuggling. Eventually though the dreaded Excise men got the best of Arran's renegade stillmen, and the island was without a working distillery from 1837. This single malt was distilled on the 5th of August 1996 and matured for 24 years. It was bottled on the 7th of May 2021 and released exclusively to The Whisky Shop London. This is one of only 231 bottles produced.
