Description
The Arran Quarter Cask, often subtitled 'The Bothy', is a complex, rich, and intensely fruity Single Malt Scotch Whisky. It is initially matured in first-fill ex-Bourbon barrels for seven years before undergoing secondary maturation for an additional two years in smaller American oak quarter casks (125 litres). This process increases the interaction between the whisky and the oak, leading to a faster and more intense maturation. Bottled at natural cask strength without chill-filtration or artificial coloring, it presents a full-bodied expression of Arran Single Malt with rich vanilla sweetness and bold peppery spice.
