Description

Named after a nearby island, Smogen distillery was established on a farm near Hunnebostrand in Sweden in 2009. Askeim is a new brand launched by Smögen, focusing on reviving the aromas of classic barley varieties. This 8-year-old Swedish Single Malt, Batch #2, is crafted using the lightly peated Golden Promise barley and undergoes triple distillation. It was matured in first-fill Bourbon Quarter Casks and bottled in 2024 at a natural cask strength of 57.2% ABV. It is non-chill filtered and comes with a box.
