Nose
Oak, a dry sweetness, minerality, a touch of dried orange peel, herbs like sage or thyme. More sherry notes like orange and dried fruit emerge with time in the glass.
Palate
Sooty sherry, orange peel, juicy, earthy and herbal again, oak and tannins become more prominent as it sits on the tongue. A touch of heat. A chalky/mineral texture and taste come out more with a few drops of water.
Finish
Rich, spicy, oak, slightly metallic in a not bad way, dried fruits, some heat, long.
