Description

A malt distillery in the Speyside region of Scotland and one of many in the extensive portfolio of multinational drinks giant, Diageo. The distillery was built in 1972 by International Distillers & Vintners to assist with the provision of its Justerini & Brooks blended Scotch brands. A litre bottle of single malt from Auchroisk Distillery, a 'mature and mellow' single malt. The Singleton of Auchroisk 1981 is an old-school bottling from The Singleton range, matured in ex-sherry casks.

Peat-like notes (though likely unpeated), organic, plums, apricots, leather, dry sherry, spicy heat, floral esters, vanilla, oily texture, dark sweetness with toffee, brittle, orchard fruit, graham, maple, sweet berry syrup, banana, coconut, butterscotch, cherries, citrus, and salinity.
