Description

Balblair Elements is a non-age statement single malt Scotch whisky from the Highland region, released in 2000 as an introductory malt in the early Inver House Distillers era portfolio. It was later discontinued with the introduction of Balblair's vintage releases in 2007. It is matured in a combination of first and second-fill American oak casks. Balblair is known for its fruit-forward, elegant, and floral Highland expressions, with core expressions being largely unpeated.

Aroma is very pleasant, with notes of lemon pie, vanilla, wood, candied papaya, wet driftwood, cornmeal/porridge, sultanas, and toasted almonds.
Palate
A rich, complex, and smooth taste, with vanilla, fruit, sweet malty goodness, candied fruit, and a gentle pepperiness.
Finish
Quite rich and lovely smooth texture, with wood, pear drops, some dried fruit sweetness, and a dry, long, herbal, and slightly peppery character.
