Description

A single cask, full strength & sherried Ballindalloch bottled exclusively for the UK. Distilled at its Speyside distillery on the 12th March 2015, then matured in a sherry butt before being bottled on the 27th August 2024 at a cask strength of 60.8% abv.

Nose
An autumnal nose with red fruits, spice and treacle tart. Rich and inviting aromas of dried fruits like raisins, figs, and dates, combined with notes of dark chocolate, sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg), and a hint of treacle or toffee. Some reviews also mention a subtle nuttiness or antique furniture character.
Palate
Oily palate with caramel and roasted nuts. Thick, oily, and luxurious mouthfeel with an explosion of dark chocolate, roasted nuts, and syrupy dark fruits (black cherries, plums). The high ABV provides a warming, spicy kick of black pepper and ginger, which is well-integrated and not overpowering.
Finish
Dark cocoa, dried cranberries and chocolate coated raisins. Long and robust, with a lingering dryness from the sherry cask, leaving notes of dark cocoa, roasted coffee, and a persistent fruitiness with a touch of spice.
