Description

The Balvenie Caribbean Cask 14 Year Old Single Malt Whisky is initially matured for 14 years in traditional oak whisky casks, typically ex-bourbon barrels. It then undergoes a finishing period in casks that previously held Caribbean rum. To create these unique finishing casks, Balvenie Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE filled American oak casks with his own blend of select West Indian rums. This process imparts extra sweetness and warmth, resulting in a well-rounded whisky with the traditional smooth, honeyed character of The Balvenie, married with notes of toffee and a hint of fruit.
