Description

A highly-regarded malt distillery in Speyside and the second built by William Grant & Sons. The distillery is still owned by the company today its brand has been nurtured to become one of the most recognisable and sought-after single malts in the world. The Balvenie Founder's Reserve 10 Year Old is a classic single malt Scotch Whisky, created by Malt Master David Stewart, from a marriage of Balvenie single malt matured in bourbon and sherry casks. It was a member of The Balvenie's core range since the early 1980s and was discontinued around 2009.

Palate
Rich honeyed sweetness, citrus (orange, plum), vanilla, caramel, light spice (clove, aniseed, cinnamon), graham, malt, with a balanced fruitiness and sometimes a hint of smoke or pepper.
Finish
Medium to long, malty, with lingering fruit, graham, wood, spices, and sometimes cocoa notes, pleasantly drying.
