Description
A highly-regarded malt distillery in Speyside and the second built by William Grant & Sons. The distillery is still owned by the company today its brand has been nurtured to become one of the most recognisable and sought-after single malts in the world. An import and export company that primarily dealt in rum, however had some important Scotch whisky dealings over the years. It was established in Aberdeen in 1947 and its brands included blends called Imperial and Balgownie alongside various independent single malt bottlings.
