Description

The Balvenie 17 Year Old Rum Cask is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Balvenie distillery in Speyside, Scotland. This expression was distilled in 1991 and bottled in 2008, having been matured for 17 years. It underwent a meticulous production process, including traditional malting, fermentation, and distillation. The whisky was initially aged in traditional oak barrels, specifically ex-bourbon casks, before being transferred to barrels that previously held Jamaican rum for a finishing period. This limited edition bottling was released in 2008.
